PDF to Carousel Converter

Turn a PDF into a carousel for LinkedIn or Instagram. Drop a report, an article, an ebook or your notes: its title becomes the cover, each section a slide, lists stay lists and a strong number gets its own slide. Edit the slides, see them in a real post, then finish in the editor. Free, no sign-up, and your PDF never leaves your device.

How to turn a PDF into a carousel

  1. Drop your PDF. Or choose it, or switch to Text and paste an article or a post. The PDF is read in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
  2. Get your slides. The title becomes the cover, each section becomes a slide with its gist, and an ending invites people to save and follow. Choose how many slides you want, or leave it on Auto.
  3. Edit them. Click a slide to change its title, text or list items, turn a point into a list or a number, or leave a slide out.
  4. See it as a post. Your carousel in a LinkedIn or Instagram post, in any of the app’s designs, light or dark.
  5. Finish in the editor. “Open in the editor” takes your slides to aiCarousels: pick a design, add pictures and your name, and download.

How your PDF becomes slides

In your PDFOn your carousel
The title (the biggest text on the first page)The cover, with the line under it
A heading and its paragraphsA numbered point: the heading and its first sentences
A bulleted listA checklist (up to 5 items)
A numbered listSteps
A sentence with a strong number (42%, 3×, $2M)A big-number slide
Running headers, page numbers, the table of contents, referencesLeft out

It works by rules, not AI: it reads the size, weight and position of the text, so it’s instant and private. When a PDF has hardly any headings, each paragraph becomes a point, with its first sentence as the title.

PDFs that make good carousels

  • Reports and white papers: the key findings, one per slide.
  • Blog posts and articles saved as PDF: the subheadings make the slides.
  • Ebooks and guides: pick the chapters that stand alone, or choose 10 or 12 slides.
  • Slide decks exported to PDF: each slide’s title and bullets carry over.
  • Not scans. A scanned PDF is a picture of text, with nothing to read. Copy the text and paste it into Text instead.

Posting it on LinkedIn and Instagram

On LinkedIn, a carousel is a PDF document post: portrait 4:5 (1080 × 1350) reads best on phones. On Instagram it’s up to 20 images, 4:5 or the new 3:4. Keep each slide to one idea and a few lines: if a slide has a lot of text, the checks tell you which one.

Free, and what the app adds

PDF to carousel is free, with no account. aiCarousels opens your slides in its editor, where you choose from 304 layouts, add pictures and your name, rewrite any slide with AI, and download the PDF for LinkedIn or the images for Instagram.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn a PDF into a carousel?

Drop the PDF here. Its title becomes the cover and each section a slide. Edit the slides, then open them in the editor to choose a design and download.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It’s read in your browser, on your device. Only the slides go to the editor, when you choose to open them there.

Does it use AI?

No. It works by rules: headings, lists and numbers in your PDF become slides. In the editor you can rewrite any slide with AI if you want to.

Why does my PDF give no slides?

It’s probably a scan, a picture of text with nothing to read. Copy the text from the original document and paste it into Text.

How many slides can a LinkedIn or Instagram carousel have?

LinkedIn takes a PDF of up to 300 pages, but 6 to 12 slides is plenty. Instagram allows up to 20.
