Four things every guide here comes back to

The basics of a TikTok carousel, each with the guide or free tool that goes deeper.

It’s photo mode

Pick your slides in order in the TikTok app and they become one post people swipe, with a sound under it. The step-by-step guide.

Keep words off the edges

TikTok’s buttons and your description sit on top of them. See the safe zones.

Post it from your phone

Photo mode is made in the TikTok app, so get the pictures onto your phone first: make the carousel on your phone, or on Pro and Team open one you made on a computer.

Check it and post it

Keep the words clear of the buttons, swipe through it before anyone else does, then get the pictures onto your phone and post them in the TikTok app.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I start if I’ve never made a TikTok carousel?

Start with the guide to making a TikTok carousel, under Start here: the steps in the app, the size, and how to make slides that fill the screen. Want a slideshow that plays on its own instead? The swipe slideshow guide next to it shows how.

My carousel turned into a video. What now?

TikTok can turn your photos into a video when you upload them. Tap “Switch to photo mode” before you post: dots under the preview mean it’s a carousel. The TikTok guide has the rest.

Do I post the carousel to TikTok myself?

Yes, from the TikTok app: aiCarousels doesn’t post to TikTok for you. On your phone, tap “Post” in aiCarousels and it hands the pictures to TikTok with your caption copied (on Pro and Team, projects you made on a computer open there too). Or download the PNGs and send them to your phone.

Can I turn a carousel into a TikTok video?

Yes. The free carousel to video converter plays your slides one after another and saves them as a 9:16 video you can upload from your phone or a computer.
