How to check your LinkedIn PDF
- Add your PDF. The one you exported from Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides or any other tool. It’s read in your browser and never uploaded. No PDF at hand? The sample has three typical problems.
- Read “Ready to post?”. Each problem names the pages it’s on.
- Look at every page. “Every page” shows each one with its size and what to fix; “In the post” shows the document as LinkedIn does, on a phone or a computer.
- Fix it. Make every page the same size and download a new PDF, or bring the words into aiCarousels and rebuild the carousel with sharp, real text.
What the checker looks at
- Page size and shape: pages that don’t match the first are shown smaller by LinkedIn; landscape pages look small on phones.
- Picture sharpness: every picture inside a page is measured against the space it fills when LinkedIn shows the page 1080 px wide. Under about 75% of the pixels it needs, it looks blurry.
- The smallest text: measured as if the page were 1080 px wide. Under about 24 px it’s hard to read on a phone.
- Real text or pictures: real text stays sharp when people zoom; pages flattened into pictures don’t.
- The cover: a big title on page 1 makes people swipe.
- Page count and file size: LinkedIn takes up to 300 pages and 100 MB.
Why LinkedIn carousels look blurry
- Pictures exported too small. A screenshot or a photo saved at 500 px and stretched over a full page will look soft. Use pictures at least as wide as the space they fill.
- The PDF was “flattened”. Some tools save each page as one picture, often compressed. Export as a standard PDF so the text stays text.
- Compression on export. “Small file” or “web” options squeeze pictures. Choose print or high quality; LinkedIn takes up to 100 MB.
- Tiny text. Text sized for a projector is unreadable on a phone. Fewer words per page, bigger type.

Free, and what the app adds
The checker is free, with no account and no limit. aiCarousels makes LinkedIn carousels in 4:5 with real text and full-resolution pictures, downloaded in HD (2,160 px wide), so the PDF is sharp from the start. “Rebuild it with these words” brings the text of your PDF into the app.
