One idea, image posts in every layout

Type what the image should say. You get several designs of it, each a finished post on its own, in a layout picked for what you wrote: a matrix for a framework, a funnel for funnel numbers, a stat with its source for a study. Keep the one that says it best.

An image post made in the app: an idea is typed into Home’s Image post tab and the ghostwriter makes several designs of it, each in a different layout; in the editor the versions are flicked through, More versions adds more, one is picked and posted to LinkedIn as one picture.

Different angles on one idea, not slides of a carousel

The AI looks at what your idea holds, such as numbers, steps, two sides to compare, a quote or one strong opinion, and picks the layouts that show it best, never the same one twice. Each design takes its own angle: the result, the surprise, the how, the why, the feeling. Each one stands alone. You post one.

A bold line

Image post: Start at 25, not 35. Time does the heavy lifting.

A big number

Image post: 2×, what you retire with if you start at 25, not 35, over a photo of the sea.

A chart

Image post: a column chart of what €200 a month is worth at 65, by the age you start.

A myth, then the fact

Image post: the myth “I’ll start investing when I earn more”, then the fact.

The layouts it picks from

Stats, quotes, checklists, comparisons, frameworks, timelines and photo posts. The AI picks the ones that fit your idea, and you can switch any design to another layout in one click.

Every layout works with every theme, and with your own brand kit.

From one sentence to a post in the feed

It starts on Home, in the same box you use for carousels.

  1. Say what the image should say On Home, click Image post (marked New) and type what the image should say, like “Checklist: before you hit publish”. Or add a source instead: a web link, a YouTube link, a PDF or pasted text. Choose LinkedIn, Instagram, X or Threads and click Generate. Short LinkedIn post templates fit on one picture too.
  2. Keep the design you like The editor opens on the first design. Switch between the others with Versions and keep your favourite.
  3. Change anything, like on a slide Click a text to change it. Swap the Layout, the theme, the colours and fonts, or add a picture. Your brand kit signature, your name and photo, is already on it. Write a caption the same way as for a carousel, and check it in Preview.
  4. Download it, or post it to LinkedIn Download the post as a PNG, ready for the app you post in. Or post it to your LinkedIn profile in one click, as one picture with its caption.

Every kind of single-image post

The designs are grouped as Statements, Stats & charts, Quotes, Lists & how-to, Comparisons, Text posts, Infographics, Photo posts and Mockups. Change group any time with Layout.

Statements and quotes

One bold line, an unpopular opinion, a quote card or a quote over a photo.

Stats and charts

One big number, a stat with its source, or a simple chart. Use your own numbers: the AI never makes them up.

Lists and how-tos

A short checklist, a ranking or a how-to infographic people save.

Comparisons

Myth vs fact, Do / don’t, Then vs now, A vs B.

Photo posts

Your line over a picture: your own photo, a free stock photo or an AI picture.

Mockups and infographics

Some designs, such as SWOT and Venn charts, comparison tables and most phone mockups, are Pro layouts.

Rather start from a design? Click New › Image post (“One picture: a number, a quote, a list”) and pick one in Pick a design. Or open the Templates page and choose an image post format: One big number, Quote card, Unpopular opinion, Checklist, Myth vs fact, Do / don’t, Then vs now, Stat with a source, Simple chart, How-to infographic, Ranking, A vs B, News headline, Quote over a photo or Tool of the week. Edit this example opens it with no AI, so it costs nothing. On the app’s Layouts page, any layout that works as a single picture offers Image post too.

Sized for the feed you post in

Pick the platform and the size: the recommended one fills the most of that feed. Change either one in the editor and the layout adapts.

Image posts in aiCarousels, by platform

PlatformHow it postsSize that fills the feed
LinkedInOne image, or straight to your profile with Post to LinkedIn4:5 portrait
InstagramOne image post4:5 or 3:4
XOne image; 4:5 shows in full in the timeline4:5
ThreadsOne image post4:5 (1:1 also offered)

Every download is a PNG.

Image posts for X

There is no separate X maker: pick X as the platform and the design is drawn at 4:5, which X shows in full in the timeline. X takes 280 characters of caption, so let the picture carry the idea and keep the caption to one line. Want several pictures in one X post instead? That is a carousel: X shows up to four images per post.

Already have a picture and only need it resized? The free social media image resizer does that in your browser.

An image post works best with one short, punchy message. If your idea needs steps or a story, a carousel suits it better.

Frequently asked questions

What is an image post?

A single picture instead of a swipeable carousel: a big number, a quote, a short checklist, a bold statement, a comparison or a photo with a line over it. It is made to be understood in one glance, on LinkedIn, Instagram, X or Threads.

Why do I get several designs?

From one idea the AI makes alternative posts, each with a different layout and angle. It picks the layouts that fit your content: myth vs fact for a myth, a funnel for funnel numbers, a matrix for a framework, a fitting app-screen design for a joke. They are not four slides of one post: each stands alone. Switch between them with Versions and keep the one you like.

Does an image post use one of my AI carousels?

Making one from an idea counts as 1 AI carousel, for all the designs. Starting from New › Image post, a template example or a layout uses no AI at all.

Can I post it straight to LinkedIn?

Yes. Post to LinkedIn puts it on your own LinkedIn profile as one picture, with its caption. For Instagram, X and Threads, download the PNG and post it from the app.

None of the designs fits. What now?

Change the layout in the editor (try Quotes, Lists & how-to, Comparisons, Infographics or Photo posts), or generate again with a clearer sentence, like “The 3 numbers every founder should know”.

Can I use my own photo?

Yes. Add or replace the picture in the editor with your own upload or a free stock photo. On Pro and Team, designs with picture spots can also get AI pictures made for them.
