Start here
New to Instagram carousels? Begin with how to make a carousel on Instagram, from your phone or a computer. Then examples to borrow from, and the size that fills the feed.
Four things every guide here comes back to
The basics of an Instagram carousel, each with the guide or free tool that goes deeper.
One post, many slides
Pick your slides in order and Instagram makes them one post people swipe. How to post one, step by step.
Tall, and all the same
3:4 and 4:5 fill the feed; 9:16 is for Stories. The first slide sets the shape for the rest. Check your slides’ size.
About two lines of caption show
The rest sits behind “more”, so start with the hook. See where yours cuts.
You post it from Instagram
aiCarousels gets the pictures ready-sized; you post them from the app or instagram.com. Download them as PNGs.
Write it
What to say on each slide and in the caption, and the writers that draft both from one sentence. The same idea can also become a single-image post.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I start if I’ve never posted an Instagram carousel?
Start with the guide to making a carousel on Instagram, under Start here: posting from your phone or a computer, the size, and what to put on the slides. Then swipe through yours in the free carousel preview before you post.
Can aiCarousels post to Instagram for me?
No. aiCarousels posts straight to LinkedIn only. For Instagram you download the slides as PNGs, ready-sized, and post them from the Instagram app or instagram.com. The Post button shows you the steps.
Which sizes can I pick for Instagram in aiCarousels?
3:4 tall, the recommended one, 4:5 portrait, the classic carousel size, 1:1 square, and 9:16 for Stories and Reels. The free Instagram size checker shows which slides Instagram would crop if you made them somewhere else.
My carousel looks cropped. Where do I look?
Most crops come from mixed sizes: the first slide sets the shape and the rest are cut to match, so make every slide the same size. For other problems, see the guide to Instagram carousel problems and fixes.
