Change the look without touching a slide
Every theme works with every layout, so your words stay where they are. Only the look changes.

Open the Themes window
In the editor, click Carousel › Look › Theme with nothing selected, or press ⌘K and type “Change the theme”. On a phone it is the Look tab. On Home, the theme button starts on Auto, which picks a theme that fits your topic and tells you which.

Click a theme to try it
Search, or browse All themes, Favourites, My themes and New. Style tags (Minimal, Bold, Editorial, Professional, Playful, Tech, Luxury and more) and a Light / Dark filter narrow it down. Click a theme and the carousel changes at once, with nothing to confirm. “Undo brings the last one back.”

Keep the ones you like
Click the heart under a theme to add it to Favourites. Themes you make or customise are saved in My themes, next to the rest, and the Themes page lets you Start with it to open a new carousel in that look.
Your colours, your fonts
Open Customize theme to change the colours, fonts and style of every slide at once. Each change is one undo step.
Three tabs, every detail
Colours has palettes (Dark, Light, Vibrant, Pastel, Earthy, Muted, Black & white) and your own colour for the background, headlines, body text and accent. The background can be solid or a gradient.
Fonts sets a font pair, or the headline and body fonts separately, plus the text size for the whole theme and the case of headlines and eyebrows.
Style covers corners, cards, buttons, numbers, weight, spacing, textures and the style of your AI pictures.

For example “Calm and premium, cream paper, serif headlines”. On Home it is under More tools › Create a theme with AI, and in the Themes window under Create with AI.

Add a screenshot, a photo or your website address, up to 3 references. The three themes come back drawn on your own slides, so you judge them on real content.
Pick one of three
Ask for a fix (“What should change?”) or 3 new ones, then Use on this carousel or Save to My themes. Each request uses 1 AI edit.

Change one slide, not the theme
Select a slide and its Look section changes only that slide. A dark slide in the middle of a light carousel is one click.
Colours
Theme, Inverted, Accent, or Own colours for the background, headlines, body text and accent.
Text size
A slider from 50% to 160% for all the text on that slide.
Alignment
Left, centre or right, on layouts that can be aligned.
Texture
None, Film grain, Dot grid, Grid, Ruled paper, Glow, Halftone, Diagonal or Top bar.
Edge effects
Rings, Bubbles, Capsules, Swipe arrows and more, running from one slide into the next in your accent colour.
Every slide, or back
Use this look on every slide copies it to the rest. Back to the theme clears it.
A pause in the middle of the swipe
Most carousels keep one look from cover to end. One slide in different colours stands out, so save it for the line that matters most: the turn in your story, or the one rule you want remembered.
Here the fourth slide uses Inverted colours. Everything else follows the theme.
