Make a carousel on your phone
aiCarousels runs in your phone’s browser, with nothing to install. Type an idea, swipe through the slides, tap a word to change it, then save the pictures to your photos or hand them to Instagram or TikTok with the caption copied.
From idea to post, all on the phone
The same app as on a computer, laid out for a small screen and a thumb.
- 01
Type an idea
Say what you want to post in the box on Home and tap Generate, or the keyboard’s Go key. Writing takes 30 to 60 seconds: keep the screen open while it works.
- 02
Swipe through the slides
The editor shows one slide at a time. Swipe sideways for the next one; the dots show where you are. The top says “Slide 3 of 5”, with Design | Caption, the platform chip and Grid view to see every slide and reorder them.
- 03
Tap to change anything
Tap a text once to select it and again to type; a small bar over the keyboard has Bold, Italic, More styles and Done. The tabs at the bottom (Layout, Text, Look, Writer and Add slide) open a sheet you drag up for more room. The Ask AI bar sits just above them.
- 04
Check it in Preview
Tap the title, then Preview. You see the carousel as a real post, with your caption cut where the app cuts it and a “Ready to post on Instagram?” checklist under it.
- 05
Post it, or save it
Tap Post: the app gets the pictures ready (“Getting it ready…”), then Open Instagram copies your caption and hands the pictures to the app. Or choose Download PNGs and save them to your photos.
What’s different on a phone
Everything that matters is there. A few things work by touch instead of by mouse.
One slide at a time
Swipe between slides. In Grid view, press and hold a slide, then drag it to reorder.
Tabs at the bottom
Layout, Text, Look, Writer and Add slide replace the side panel. Each opens a sheet from the bottom.
Press and hold to move
Hold a text or picture for a moment, then drag. A quick sideways flick still goes to the next slide.
Style a few words
The Text tab styles the whole text. To style only some words, tap “Edit on the slide” and select them.
Tap a picture
Its menu has Replace or Add, AI picture, Adjust, Move to slide… and Remove.
The menu button
The left sidebar becomes the three-line button, top left. Swipe left or press Back to close it.
Hand it to the app, caption copied
On a phone that can share files, Post makes the pictures and passes them to the app you pick. It doesn’t post for you: you paste the caption and post it there.
Posting each app from a phone
| Posting on | From your phone |
|---|---|
| Tap Post, then Open Instagram. Pick your slides in order: up to 20 become one carousel. Stories (9:16) can only be posted from the Instagram app, so a phone is the place for them. | |
| TikTok | TikTok photo carousels are made in the TikTok app. Tap Post to hand it the pictures, add a sound if you like, paste the caption and post. |
| X and Threads | Tap Post, or save the PNGs and attach them in order. X shows four pictures per post. |
| Your LinkedIn profile | Post to LinkedIn works from a phone, so the carousel goes up as a document without the LinkedIn app. |
| LinkedIn, by hand | The LinkedIn phone app can’t always post a document. Tap Send the PDF to my computer and post the PDF from linkedin.com. |
After posting, “Posted it?” lets you mark the project as posted.
Saving the pictures instead
Choose Download PNGs. The app makes the images and opens your phone’s share sheet (“Choose where to save them”): pick your photos, or send them to an app. If your phone can’t open the share sheet, each slide is saved as its own file.
Downloads come with a free account (with a small mark), Pro and Team. More on files and quality in downloading your carousel. Step-by-step guides: a carousel on Instagram and a carousel on TikTok.
Start on one, finish on the other
Your projects on every device, on Pro
On Pro and Team, projects are saved to your account. Start a carousel on your laptop, sign in on your phone and it’s there, with its pictures, ready to post. On a computer, the Post steps even remind you that you can open the project on your phone and tap Post there.
Without an account, projects stay in the browser where you made them. More in Projects.
